Arising out of my work as a teacher, and as a head of department, I was invited to be external examiner to a variety of Diploma, BA (Hons) degree and MA Courses.
I found external examining to be one of the most mentally exhausting jobs I did. Ideally, everyone involved in the process should feel that the outcome of assessment is just. Trying to ensure that outcome is where the energy goes.
